Utility: Relieves symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. May be esp. useful in treating prominent tremor & early morning dystonia. Little effect on bradykinesia. Useful in treatment of Parkinsonian syndromes produced by antipsychotic medications.
Special Features: Benefit is often short-lived (3-4 months). 20-30% symptomatic improvement in 50-75% of patients.
